Leveraging capacities for monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) for sustainable agriculture
Monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) offers a framework and a set of tools to support agriculture innovations and sustainability. Adopting MEL requires a systematic effort to measure progress and to enhance continuous and real-time learning among farmers and rural communities, civil society, researchers, policy makers and evaluation practitioners.
Drawing on the experience of the EU-LIASON project and the FAO Climate Smart Agriculture team, this webinar will address the following questions: How to include MEL practices in agricultural innovation projects and programmes? What relevant experiences can we learn from it? How can non-M&E experts, such as farmers and rural people, be better involved in MEL?
